Traffic Regulation Orders - Objections to Orders related to new Developments

This item considers 6 no. proposed Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) that have received objections during the statutory consultation process. In accordance with constitutional requirements Committee must decide whether to make or modify the TROs in view of the objections. Modifications may only make proposed restrictions less onerous.

Each TRO has been proposed to enable highway improvements associated with new development's that have been approved through the Planning Process. Those highway improvements are subject to S278 agreements and the TROs are proposed to support and implement the highway design proposals within these.

The TROs in question, and the corresponding development sites, are as follows:

1. TRO-17-2019, Freehold Terrace
2. TRO-36-2019, 133 Kingsway
3. TRO-38-2019, Former Argus House, Crowhurst Road
4. TRO-39-2019, Circus Street (Phase 1)
5. TRO-40-2019, Circus Street (Phase 2)
6. TRO-43-2019, 11-11b Queens Square
