Purpose:

Brighton & Hove City Council is being encouraged together with all local authorities and police forces in the UK to sign an anti-slavery pledge in advance of Anti-Slavery Day on 18th October 2020.

Decision:

RESOLVED – that Committee:

 

1.            Recommends to Full Council that Brighton & Hove City

Council signs up to the Anti-Slavery Pledge and statement of intent as drafted (appendices one and two refer).

 

2.            Recommends to Full Council that it appoints an elected member to champion the work required under the auspices of the pledge.
