Purpose:

Local Authorities can designate the use of Community Protection Notices to Housing Associations in its area. We have 4 or 5 local housing associations who have shown an interest in being given this power. Community Protection Notices can be used to address such issues as noise nuisance, graffiti, overgrown gardens, fly-tipping etc

Decision:

RESOLVED – That the Committee approves the designation of Community Protection Notices to local Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) in accordance with section 53 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 20014.
