Park Royal – Leasehold Enfranchisement
Decision Maker: Housing Committee (pre 2015)
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: Yes
Purpose:
The report has two main themes:
1. Information: Notification that, upon completion of the
transaction, the freehold will pass from BHCC to a leaseholder
company, the leaseholders having invoked the legal leasehold
enfranchisement process.
2. Decision: the report recommends that, for reasons of efficiency
and service delivery standards, the remaining 24 tenanted flats be
sold on the open market as and when they become available,
reinvesting the capital receipts in the provision of new affordable
housing.
Decision:
(1) That the completion of sale of the freehold and the change of freeholder and management of the two Park Royal buildings be noted.
