Electric Vehicle Charging Points
Decision Maker: Environment Cabinet Member Meeting,
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: Yes
Decision:
(1) That the Cabinet Member gives approval to proceed with the introduction of the Electric Vehicle Charging Points scheme in Brighton & Hove as set out in this report.
Reasons for the decision:
1. To seek approval to proceed with the Electric Vehicle Charging Points project.
Alternative options considered:
The Civitas Archimedes project requires that the on-street charging points should be installed the section of central Brighton designated the Civitas area. The proposed site(s) fall within that area, and are in high-visibility, easily accessible locations designed to encourage their access by the users of electric vehicles, and best publicise the charging point scheme to potential users.
